Why I Picked DUBAI As A HEN DO Destination: The Wedding Diaries

My Dubai Hen – Boujee, Blissful and Unforgettable…

Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m a bit of a party princess — when it comes to celebrating, I don’t do things by halves. And let’s be honest, you (hopefully!) only get one hen do, so why not make it unforgettable?

With an early spring wedding on the horizon, I knew I wanted a little sunshine escape — somewhere warm, vibrant, and just that bit fabulous. Enter Dubai, a city I’ve loved for years. It felt like the perfect fit: sunny skies, a quick flight, and endless ways to make memories. October worked perfectly — great weather and a time when some of my closest friends could join.

I actually did decide to go for two celebrations: a smaller, sun-soaked Dubai hen for those up for a little getaway, and a bigger 30 people London hen weekend later on, planned so thoughtfully by my school friends.

Setting the Scene: The Details

I’ll admit it — I can’t resist adding a touch of extra. So, before we even boarded the flight, I put together Dubai hamper bags for the girls — chic little gift totes filled with essential goodies

, and a touch of sparkle for the trip. Naturally, we also had matching sweatshirts for our night flight. ✈️

There were six of us in total, which turned out to be the perfect group size for organising purposes. We booked a six-person apartment at FIVE Palm Jumeirah, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better choice. Whatever anyone says about it, the hotel is stunning — high energy, glamorous, and buzzing 24/7. From the poolside cocktails to the beach parties, it has everything you need for a weekend of sunshine and celebration. While we were there, they even hosted a beach party with Robin Schulz DJing.

The Itinerary: Five Days in Hen Heaven 🥂

Day 1
We kicked things off with a laid-back afternoon — lunch and cocktails by the pool at FIVE, followed by a bottomless dinner nearby and a night out at Sky 2.0, Dubai’s ultimate open-air club.

Day 2
The morning started slowly (as it should), before heading to the iconic Saffron Bottomless Brunch at Atlantis. Afterwards, we made our way back for Robin Schulz’s beach party, before ending the night at The Penthouse with sunset views and champagne in hand.

Day 3
The ultimate Dubai experience: boat day! Think sunshine, red cups, music, and bottomless drinks — pure hen heaven. We wrapped up the evening with dinner on the beach and a quiet night in.

Day 4
We lunched at the award-winning Trèsind Dubai, an incredible modern Indian restaurant that truly lived up to the hype. That evening, we dined at Akira Back for a fiery red-themed dinner (the girls looked stunning btw) before dancing the night away at Shangri-La’s club — our final big party!

Day 5
Our last day was all about unwinding — a relaxed afternoon by the marina and dinner to toast the end of the perfect trip.

The Perfect Send-Off 💖

Looking back, it really was the dreamiest few days — sun, laughter, a little boujee sparkle, and my favourite people all in one place. Dubai has such a unique way of blending luxury with pure fun, and it was everything I wanted for my hen do and more.

Now… onto the wedding! 💍
